Intel Introduces Two Tablets for Education Program

Webpostline.com - After the success of the Classmate PC program. Now, Intel makes a new breakthrough for educational reasons, and  they have rolled out two Android-based tablets for education, those are Intel Education 7 inch & 10 inch sizes, and both are running on the Google's Android platform with are powered by Intel's Atom.

The 7 inch tablet features a 1024 x 600 TFT screen, an Intel's Atom Z2420 chip clocked, 1 GB of LPDDR2 memory at 1.2 GHz, and runs on Android 4.1 Jelly Bean. Not only that, the 7 inch tablet equipped a 0.3MP front camera and 2MP rear camera. It provides 8 GB of internal storage and a microSD card slot.
Intel claims the 7 inch has a 4200 mAh battery with battery life up to 8 hours and an optional Bluetooth 3.0 + EDR connectivity.

While the 10 inch tablet comes with 1280 x 800 pixel TFT LCD display, powered by a 1.6 GHz Intel Atom Z2460 processor and 1 GB of LPDDR2 memory.

This model runs with Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich and has a larger 16 GB internal capacity. However, this model does not have the MicroSD card slot as seen with the 7 inch unit. The battery life is able for up to 6.5 hours of run time.

Both Intel Education Tablets has a 802.11b/g/n WiFi and an optional Bluetooth as well as an access to Kno’s textbook software.


Intel has the products for classmate education application and Parents Carefree as  a security software.

However, the pricing information has not yet been provided, because these purchased by education institutions, and tablets aren't available to consumers.
