Drinking Some Water Excessively is Bad for Kidneys

Webpostline.com - Drinking some water can helps excretion process of toxins in the body, therefore, many articles of health suggest us to drink some water as much as possible. However if you drink too many water, it’s not good for your health specially your kidneys.

Kidneys have function as a filter in the body, that is filtering the toxins in the blood then change it  to be urine.The other side, Natrium act as the guard of fluid balance in the body cells.

Why did it happen?


Drinking some water excessively are have consequences for kidneys will be overwhelmed to filter it and the result is the fluid balance of body to be damage due to many fluid, whereas amount of Natrium is not balanced.

As a result, the water began to seep into the cell and make it stretch. If the condition persists, the cells of the kidneys will not be strong to hold it and rupture. That which causes cell damage to the kidneys.

Normally water consumption is the recommended 7-8 glasses per day. Do not also drink large amounts of water at one time, because it will be very harmful to the kidney condition.

Another result that can occur when you drink too much water is:


  • Swelling brain . Excess water in the body can make the lining of the brain to swell. As a result. The worst situation is you can seizures. Sometimes also followed with a brain hemorrhage.
  • Coma. If the brain hemorrhage condition  is not promptly treated , then it is likely to happen in a coma.
