4 basic things when buying a profitable blog

BUSINESS - Buying a profitable  blog for making money is an easy thing you can do if you have a big budget for that. Yes, you need a big budget to buy blogs that are ready to make money for you, such as available on Flippa or forums that offer many blogs that are ready to be sold at a high price.

Making a blog to generate a profit eventually will require a considerable amount of time and many things can affect a blog in order to show a profit. For you who already have enough money to invest it for a blog, for sure you will take a quick and easy way, is buying a high-value blog.

However, before buying a blog you should pay attention to a few things, so that later the blog that you will buy can actually generate profits for you.

1. Know how much earnings from the blog

Essentially, how much profit is generated by a blog becomes a benchmark to determine its selling price. For example, a blog that has earnings of $100 for last 30 days, then it would have a price of $1000. It does mean, 10 times its earnings for 30 days. However, you have to keep wise and don't be lulled by its last 30 days earnings. The best way to determine the consistency of its earnings is by requesting the last 3 months screenshots of its earnings. If the seller could not meet your request, then it will be very doubtful.

If the source income of the blog is affiliate products, you may take a look at the screenshot that provides by the seller, is it in accordance with the products promoted by such blog?

To meet simple rules from a blog that is worth buying, you should select a blog that has been aged for at least 4 months or 1 year is better.

2. Note the Link Building which is used

When you find the blog appears in the first rank for its keyword search, it does not mean that it is a profitable blog. Understanding about link building techniques of such blog is necessary, so you can be sure the blogs are secure from Google Penguin's update at a later date. You may try backlink checker tools like Opensiteexplorer or MajesticSEO to find where its backlinks came from. Please note, A high quality backlink is not derived from spamming or Black hat.

3. Ask for the report traffic that comes from Google Analytics

Surely you do not wish to be deceived by false traffic, isn't it? In order to avoid that, it would be nice if you asked for a report on the blog traffic comes from Google analytics, so you can observe any keywords, traffic source, bounce rates, the ratio of visitors both old and new.

4. Make sure the authenticity of its contents

Content is very important and so fundamental; therefore, make sure that the content of the blog that you are going to buy has original and unique contents. Remember, content has a fundamental influence on a blog. Use Copyscape to verify it.

There are still a few other things you need to know such as the seller's profile, payment method, blog transfer, and blog maintenance. But all of that you can proceed with further negotiations with the seller. At least 4 things mentioned above can be simple rules when you are planning to buy a profitable blog.
