These Foods Cause Sudden Headaches

Believe it or not, experts have found some food as a trigger for headaches, and it turns out the cause is some chemical substances contained in the food.

  • Foods containing tyramine. Tyramine is a chemical found in processed food products such as cheese, dried fruit, corned beef, sausage and other processed meat. Taking tyramine for the long-term can lead to narrowing of the arteries, after which there was swelling then you get headaches.

  • Foods that contain aspartame (sweetener). Like many types of drinks contain soda and fruit juice products.

  • Foods that contain MSG (monosodium glutamate) as the cause of any change in vascular blood vessels. That's why it comes pain.

  • Alcohol is a trigger of headaches and it has been proven. Sulfuric acid, nitrates and tyramine contained in alcoholic beverages can stimulate blood vessel for the onset of pain.
